Dharamshala: As a token of immediate relief, the Central Tibetan Administration has announced Rs. 7,500/- each to the families affected by the fire that broke out yesterday at Jodhpur's Tibetan sweater market.
Speaking to TibetNet, Home Secretary Tsering Dhondup said that the Welfare Officer at Delhi has been assigned to visit the place and assess the situation. |

Dharamshala: Nearly 17 Tibetan shops in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, were gutted by fire yesterday.

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Washington D.C. on Monday evening around 4 pm. He was received at the airport by Special Envoy Kasur Gyari Rinpoche, and was received by over 100 members of the Tibetan community, ICT Staff, Mind & Life Institute staff, US Special Coordinator Paula Dobriansky, and the deputy head of the Indian Embassy, Ambassador Raminder Singh Jassal, and others outside the hotel. |
