TIPA Toured to Present Tibetan Arts

 Dharamshala: Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) toured Darjeeling and Kalimpong in Indian state of West Bengal, from 19 October to 2 November, to present Tibetan arts.

TIPA presented Lhamo Drowa Sangmo, Tibetan Opera, at the Gymkhana resort, Darjeeling. The show was inaugurated by Ariz Aftab, District Magistrate of Darjeeling.

Besides, TIPA also presented dances from the roof of the world and other cultural shows at the capital hall for the Tibetans living inside and outside Darjeeling.

Shri Gopal Krishna Gandhi, governor of West Bengal and Shrimati Tara Gandhi, lady governor were the chief guests at the show.

TIPA amused the younger generation with the performances of Aakama band of TIPA.

From Darjeeling, TIPA moved to Kalimpong where they performed Tibetan arts.
